Miss France 2023: The location of the next election revealed!

The Miss France Society announced this Tuesday, May 24, 2022 that the election of Miss France 2023 will take place at Chateauroux, next December. The city of Centre-Val de Loire will host the event in the Mach 36 room, five years after the coronation of Miss France 2018, Maëva Coucke.

We are delighted to be welcomed by the city of Châteauroux for the election of Miss France 2023. Five years ago, the city allowed us to experience a highlight with the crowning of Maëva Coucke, Miss France 2018. I thank Gil Avérous, mayor of Châteauroux, for his renewed confidence and in advance that of the Castelroussins for their warm welcome. Millions of viewers will be able to live this great adventure by our side and I am delighted.“said Sylvie Tellier, general manager of the Miss France Society, in an official press release.

Note that the candidates for the election of Miss France will have previously flown to Guadeloupe, a region which invites them this year for the traditional trip, for a heavenly stay at Club Med la Caravelle.

The competition is already starting to get people talking

The first qualifying stages have already begun. Andréa Furet, for example, is embarking on the competition, with the hope of being elected Miss Paris soon. This is the first transgender candidate to try her luck in the competition.

Another young woman who has recently been talked about is Levana Boulou, chosen to be Miss Oise 2022. But barely elected, she had to face racist messages. The Miss France committee then reacted immediately. “I think it’s getting worse and worse. I’m quite shocked to see that people no longer have a filter. Before, at least, they were hiding, today it is openly racist. I imagine it corresponds to an evolution of society. That probably explains the scores of candidates like Zemmour and company“, lamented Maxime Schneider, regional delegate of the Miss France committee, in the columns of Oise Weekly. For her part, Lévana Boulou told France 3 that she had “a little slack“after seeing these insulting messages.
