Beer and maple products being two Quebec flagships, artisans from the Lower Laurentians had the joyful idea of celebrating both at the same time during the first Bière des bois de Mirabel festival, from March 22 to 24 .
The event which marks the 10th anniversary of Mirabel celebrates Quebec maple will take place under the sign of complementarity, in particular with a maple beer brewing competition – 11 of the 16 regional microbreweries present will offer a new recipe.
In addition to artisanal breweries – including Les Bières Philosophales, Sir John, Shawbridge, Wilsy, Malstrom, Ruisseau Noir, Micro du Lièvre, Mille-Îles and Nouvelle-France – you can also taste products from vineyards and cider makers of the Laurentians.
As for the gourmet offerings, festival-goers will be able to discover the kiosks of Cabane à Stéphane, HUOT sweets, Alpha BBQ, Arrache-gueule, Épicecurienne and Au Cœur des Alpes. We will also crown the winner of the most handsome lumberjack competition, which will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Notice to those interested!
