Some changes occur in the life of the French, Saturday January 1st. The minimum wage increases by 0.9%, rising to 1,603 euros gross for 35 hours per week. Other developments should be noted, particularly with regard to hospital emergencies and plastic packaging.

Some changes will occur in the daily life of the French, in 2022. First of all, plastic packaging for fruits and vegetables disappears from supermarkets, below 1.5 kg. A new auto penalty is also introduced on the weight of vehicles: a tax will be added from 1.8 tonnes, in addition to CO2 emissions.

In the health department, contraception becomes free for women aged 25 and under. Until now, free education only applied to minors. Finally, a single package of 19.61 euros is set up in the emergency room. The price could previously fluctuate, and the bill arrived several weeks after going to the hospital.
