(Dauphin) The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Manitoba announced Wednesday morning that a woman who was injured in the accident between a minibus and a tractor-trailer last week died in hospital, this which brings the death toll to 16.
Authorities say nine injured are still in hospital, four of them in critical condition.
The minibus was carrying a group of senior citizens from Dauphin and surrounding areas for an outing to the casino on Thursday when it collided with the tractor-trailer near Carberry.
RCMP said dash cam footage shows the minibus was crossing the Trans-Canada Highway when it came into the path of the heavy truck.
Police said investigators have yet to interview the minibus driver, who is being treated in hospital.
