The route map
Steps
- Park in the parking lot at the bottom of the station.
- Take the main road (D44j) and take it to the left. Continue to the end of the road at the top of the station.
- At the information panel, take the track that goes left.
- Locate on the right the trace of the return and continue straight. Just after, pass under the Tuc de Pan chairlift and notice a discreet track on the right.
- Take this track which rises irregularly.
- Just before the Étang de Boutève, take the track which goes up to the right and which leads you further to a ridge line where you find the yellow markings.
- Take the route on the right which leads you to the arrival of the Tuc de Pan chairlift with a very beautiful panorama. Go a few meters further to reach the Tuc de l’Étang where a sumptuous 360° awaits you (picnic table at the top).
- Begin the descent, heading West (itinerary always marked Yellow) and reach an intersection of paths after the Tuc d’Arrajou.
- Take the path on the right which, after a bend, enters an undergrowth. Be attentive on this portion by keeping an eye out for the irregularity of the yellow markup. Further on, leave the forest and find the track at the start of the hike.
- Go left to retrieve the information panel.
- All that remains is to take the same path as at the start in the opposite direction to complete this pleasant getaway.
