Guide Michelin arrives in Toronto, with its very first Canadian stars. For this inaugural selection, 13 establishments are entitled to stars, including one that obtains two (Sushi Masaki Saito).

Moreover, the number of Japanese restaurants that stand out is impressive, with 5 addresses out of 12. Unsurprisingly, Alo and Alobar Yorkville are listed, as well as Edulis, a Toronto favorite for 10 years now.

Le Bib gourmand, a recognition attributed to more relaxed tables, includes 17 addresses, including the very popular Bar Raval, the Campechano with its good tacos and even the new Fonda Balam, which is partly owned by ex-Montrealers Kate Chomyshyn and Julio Guajardo .

In total, 74 restaurants are featured in the first guide Michelin dedicated to the Queen City.
