On TikToK, trends of all kinds flourish every day. Sometimes humorous, sometimes frightening, the latter is puzzling. It’s about #PeriodBloodFaceMask, which consists of smearing the blood of your periods on your face, as you do with a mask. Faced with the virality of this new trend on the social network, Michel Cymes wanted to give his opinion. The TV star doctor is adamant: “we forget this trend friends”, he wrote in the caption of his video published on October 13. On this one, he comments on the video of a surfer who, precisely, is spreading the blood of her period on her face. “put her period blood on her face it’s a great idea if you want to have buttons”, he says. Before specifying: “Because the principle is that when the blood is rejected by the body, it is not good”. In the comments of his video, not everyone agrees with Adriana Karembeu’s sidekick. For some, the young woman we see in the doctor’s video is actually making herself a red mask from The Ordinary brand. For the others, they are simply disgusted to come across this video while scrolling on TikTok. “Pov: you come across this video at breakfast, thank you tiktok algorithm”, “It’s a joke.. a prank”, “Nah but people really have crazy ideas of phew”, “we have reached the bottom there!!”, can we read in the comments. If it is not a real trend, so much the better, in any case the video of Michel Cymès has something to do to react.
On October 3, it was a completely different Michel Cymès who presented himself against Léa Salamé at the microphone of RTL. Indeed, during their exchange, the doctor returned to the day he learned that he had cancer in 2008. “I experienced what all patients who are told they have cancer go through. This phase of amazement at the time of the announcement. When you break down in tears in front of the doctor”, he said. A disease which he took a long time to mention. “It was too intimate. Even to my children and my parents, I only spoke about it after I was sure that I was out of the woods, at least statistically. I didn’t want to become the spokesperson for cancer patients. in France”, he revealed in the columns of Current wife. Before continuing: “I couldn’t see myself both trying to keep calm and keep negative thoughts away, while speaking publicly about my cancer. And then my parents would have asked me about it, the world turned upside down!”
