Michel Cordes is gone… Aged 77, the actor, best known for his role as Roland Marci in the France 3 series, “More beautiful life”, was found dead this Friday, May 5 at his home. The man who played Laurent Kérusoré’s “father” in the soap opera France Televisionswould have been killed by firearm according to our colleagues from the Free lunch.
A few hours after the tragedy, a close friend of Michel Cordes, and media expert who spoke regularly with the actor, agreed to give us his testimony and evoke some character traits of the actor born in Siran, in the Hérault, in 1945. According to him, “Roland Marci” was “someone quite abrupt and robust in real life”. Therefore, the hypothesis that it was “the target of a settling of accounts” cannot be excluded, he says.

Michel Cordes, passionate about sculpture in addition to comedy
If he was passionate about comedy, Michel Cordes devoted himself daily to another passion that he liked to evoke: “our discussions were just about the series and his daily life as a sculptor”. A passion that “took him all his time”and which would also have motivated his departure from “More beautiful life” according to the actor’s relative. In fact, the actor “wanted to exhibit his works all over France”he tells us.
If Michel Cordes “didn’t want to turn anymore”, the authors of the series did not hear it that way. The latter managed to convince him to turn “in the series very episodically”until “playing his death in September… 6 months before!”.
A “simple” and “well surrounded” man
For this relative, bruised by the death of the actor, Michel Cordes was “someone who had a very simple daily life”. Between his “sculptures”, “his poems” and the new role he had accepted for France Télévisions “a few days ago”. Indeed, the interpreter of Roland Marci had just accepted a new project for the group but nobody knows, at present, if he had time to turn or not for this one.
Still according to the relative, the 77-year-old actor was “very well surrounded”surrounded by“a loving wife and children, and led a very, very simple life”.
