In anticipation of the ice melting, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is asking citizens to keep their eyes peeled for clues that may be linked to the disappearance of Alain Sansoucy on Lake Témiscamingue last March.
“We want to raise awareness among the population and in particular the residents of Lake Témiscamingue, Notre-Dame-du-Nord and Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues sector,” wrote the SQ in a press release on Wednesday morning.
Remember that last March, Alain Sansoucy, who was with friends on Lake Témiscamingue on the Ontario side, left them to return to his home in Notre-Dame-du-Nord. When he left, he was alone on his snowmobile and was wearing a black snowmobile suit and a black helmet. Unfortunately, he never made it to his home.
“Several search operations have been carried out since, involving different units and specialties of the Sûreté du Québec as well as the participation of the Ontario Provincial Police,” said the SQ.
Citizens who discover clues to locate it, whether on bodies of water or along the banks, are invited to contact 911 or confidentially at the SQ Criminal Information Center at 1 800 659-4264.
