Companies offer home delivery services. A service that makes life easier.
He looks like a delivery man still hot pizzas, but he rushes into the streets of Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) to bring home medicine. A service that is developing from the Côte d’Azur to the capital. The principle is simple: the patient connects to an application, chooses a pharmacy near him, sends his prescription or orders directly. The package can then be prepared and retrieved. Charges vary between provider and distance.
A developing market
A Parisian company, Pharmao, already works with 1,200 pharmacies, but plans to expand. Nicolas Schweitzer, founder of the company, indicates: “Our ambition is to be able to deliver very isolated or fragile people in remote areas.” La Poste has also been offering a medicine delivery service by postmen since 2016 and today covers 84% of the population. The next step will perhaps be the sending by drone, experienced in the south of the Gironde.
