(Montreal) The Canadian champion of Jeopardy!Mattea Roach, continued his impressive winning streak at the American trivia game on Thursday.

This 18and The win will allow the 23-year-old to face another pair of opponents on Friday as she is poised to move up the consecutive win streak rankings.
She currently has the eighth-longest winning streak in program history, but one more would tie her with 2005’s David Madden and 2019’s Jason Zuffranieri.
The champ of Jeopardy! turned host Ken Jennings holds the record, with 74 consecutive wins in 2004.
During Thursday’s episode, Mme Roach won US$42,001, bringing his cumulative winnings to US$438,183.
She also secured her spot in the show’s Tournament of Champions, which airs next fall.
The 23-year-old contestant lives in Toronto, but she pointed out on the show that she spent her childhood and part of her teenage years in Halifax, and has also lived in Calgary and Moncton, New Braunschweig.
