Marina Carrere d’Encausse had a tragedy several years ago. The presenter of France 5 was close to death at the age of 24. A painful memory to which she returned during an interview for Entertainment TV.
She is one of the leading faces of France Télévisions. From 2000 to 2018, she was at the helm of the health magazine with his sidekick Michel Cymes. Despite the latter’s departure, Marina Carrère d’Encausse did not leave her seat to the delight of viewers. Guest on Jordan De Luxe’s show on Entertainment TV, she mentioned her complicity with the husband of Nathalie, but not only! The mother of Lara, Thibault and Hugo (fruits of her former union with Françis) also revealed that she had near death at the age of 24.
The events took place in 1986. When she was in the car with his dad, the latter got caught “full force“a plane tree while driving at 130 km/h. “He had fallen asleep because he was tired. It is an extremely common cause of accident and it was on the Landes road which was a deadly road at the time when the plane trees followed one another“, she recalled. Afterwards, she was put into a coma and had a long stay in the hospital. “I stayed in the hospital for a long time because I damaged absolutely everything, then there were months of rehabilitation after“, she continued.
But the charming 60-year-old blonde luckily got away with it. And she wanted to make this ordeal a strength. She has indeed tried to see the positive in the situation by drawing lessons from it. “When you’re a future doctor, it’s useful. It teaches what it is to be patient, to be in a hospital bed, how to be modest with patients, to respect them. It’s an interesting experience. I didn’t want it, I suffered it, but it brought me a lot“, concluded the sonographer. There is no doubt that the patients who come to consult her will see the difference.
