Marianne, a Norman musician in Nouméa

This week we are taking you to the other side of the planet, to an archipelago located 1500km east of Australia, in the South Pacific, we are in New Caledonia. We are about 27 hours by plane from Paris, and this is where Marianne has lived for many years.

Marianne is from Rouen, she is with us this week to tell us about her daily life in the antipodes of Normandy. She is a musician and she founded the duo I Nu with her husband.

New Caledonia is a main island which is 400 km from north to south, it is called Grande Terre, an island all in length which measures at its widest point, 64 km. A little further east, about a hundred kilometers away, is the province of the Loyalty Islands. And continuing for 1300 km, in this direction, you will reach the famous Fiji Islands.
