(Paris) The Russian Maria Sharapova is pregnant with her first child, announced the ex-N. 1 in world tennis on Tuesday, the day of his 35and anniversary.

“Precious beginnings! Eating a birthday cake for two has always been my specialty, ”she posted on her Instagram account in the caption of a photo where she shows her rounded belly while posing on a beach.
Sharapova has been engaged since December 2020 to British businessman Alexander Gilkes.
The ex-N. 1, who retired in February 2020, won five Grand Slam titles (Australian Open 2008, Roland-Garros 2012 and 2014, Wimbledon 2004 and United States Open 2006).
