Man jailed on suspicion of sexually assaulting teenage girl in her bedroom

A man was arrested on the night of Saturday to Sunday after breaking into a house in Préfailles (Loire-Atlantique) several times, where he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl, France Bleu Loire Océan learned from the gendarmerie. The suspect, prosecuted for “sexual assault on a minor over 15 years old” and “theft in a home”, was placed in pre-trial detention before his trial on September 25.

Presented on Wednesday July 31 at the Saint-Nazaire judicial court, he was placed in provisional detention pending his immediate appearance trial with a deferred deadline on September 25.

In three days, the man broke into the Préfaillaise house where the 15-year-old girl was sleeping three times. On the night of Thursday 25 to Friday 26 July, he broke into the home, entered the victim’s bedroom and sexually assaulted her. He also gagged her with tape and tied her hands behind her back to prevent her from calling for help.

The following night, from Friday 26 to Saturday 27 July, he managed to get into the house again, but the victim had taken refuge in another room. The suspect then stole items from inside the victim’s room.

On Saturday, the police were notified and decided to monitor the home for the night of Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 July. The suspect was arrested red-handed, loitering outside the home. In police custody, the man partially admitted the facts.
