Menstrual leave: male deputies test a painful period simulator
(France 2)
Male MPs from across the political spectrum have tested a painful period simulator. A test carried out at the initiative of two environmentalist deputies who tabled a bill to establish menstrual leave in France of up to 13 days of sick leave per year, without deficiency.
In an awareness-raising video, MPs from all political stripes, all of whom are men, put themselves for a few moments in the shoes of women. They tested a painful period simulator. “It actually hurts really bad.”exclaimed one of them. “Oh yeah, it’s annoying”has reacted another, when a third mentioned a “special pain”. Moving around, working or even reading a text then became more complicated for MPs.
One in two women affected
