As divisive as the Pierre Palmade affair, pension reform has been THE subject of recent days. And, this, even more since the rejection of the motion of cross-partisan censure, presented by the centrist Charles de Courson. A motion of censure following the use of legislative weapon 49.3 by Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne to have the pension reform adopted. A reform that pushes back the legal retirement age from 62 to 64 years.
Many French people say they are against this reform and do not hesitate to show it. Numerous demonstrations and protest movements emerged even before the reform was passed. But these movements have grown even more since this Monday, March 20 and the rejection of the motion of censure which collected 278 votes when it should have obtained 287. Since then, a few personalities have taken the floor to give their opinion on the situation and above all indicate whether they were for or against this change.

Gérard Jugnot gives his “opinion” on the pension reform
On the side of Gérard Jugnot, we prefer not to position ourselves. The 71-year-old actor has also explained very well why. With our colleagues from Release to talk about his new play “Kiwi Day”,one who has recently been affected by bereavement explains: “Exercising a profession of passion, being neither a political scientist, nor an economist, nor a sociologist, earning a very good living and remaining as active as Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who is the same age as me, I consider myself ill-placed to express a feeling”.
The ex-member of Splendid does not stop there. Aware that it is a “thorny subject”Gérard Jugnot observes that imagining “being able to please everyone is a challenge”. He who stands at “extreme center” also adds: “The most I can observe is that the perceptible stiffening both on the side of the government and the unions does not bode well”. If he does not really position himself, the actor is aware that the way in which this reform was adopted is not a very good thing either for the government or for the citizens.
