For this new Sunday in politics, Roland Lescure, Minister of Industry was invited on the set. While tensions are brewing throughout France, the industry is particularly affected by the pension reform but also by the various projects underway.
While Emmanuel Macron gave himself July 14 as the date for several projects, he was greeted by pans. Enough to make the Minister of Industry, Roland Lescure, smile on the set. While some companies are in the process of being relocated, for him the example is perfect for bouncing back towards the opening of many industries. “Ihe quality of made in France is recognized today, also in everyday objects. Today, 800,000 bicycles are assembled in France. We need to go much further. One million, two million bikes assembled. We are in the process of relocating.”, he adds, “Last year, we opened 80 more factories than we closed in France. The previous year, it was more than 120!”, he explains. Projects that take place in times of high social tension. We then found Emmanuel Macron on the ground in discussion with a union representative. “I’m not going to resign, I assure you. We will have to wait until 2027”he then launched.
Hard jobs
The government wants to turn the page on pension reform. However, in factories, employees subjected to arduous tasks will have to work in the long term until they are 64 years old. Faced with requests for departure, the minister reacted: “In the law and it has been preserved by the Constitutional Council, the three eights. There are many employees who do the three eights in the industry. Until now to be entitled to hardship, you had to have fifty nights in three shifts, thanks to the law, we go to thirty nights in three shifts. So there are still advances that still concern the industry elsewhere”. Other issues are also present, particularly concerning purchasing power, the elected official adds: “companies that have not made the effort today must do so. In general, in industry they do so because they have to keep their employees”. He still hopes for a drop in industrial prices. Also, its mission today is to reindustrialise a carbon-free France. For him we are facing an industrial revolution. However, for now, there will be no extension of the energy shield for businesses.
