9:10 a.m. : Unique cultural event, The Mad Day desecrates classical music in order to allow access to a wider audience, always with artistic excellence as a first requirement. Created in Nantes in 1995 by René Martin, this festival presents for five days at La Cité des Congrès in Nantes around 300 concerts lasting 45 minutes, and welcomes the world’s greatest artists. (around 2000 in each edition). Each year, the theme of the event is a composer, a major current in the history of music or a unique theme.
La Folle Journée 2022 will present from January 26 to 30 the complete chamber music and in particular the complete Schubert string quartets, the complete piano music for four hands and most of the choral music, an important part of lieder and music for solo piano, as well as four of his most beautiful symphonies.
