They were quick to react. In a press release published early in the evening this Thursday, September 21, 2023, the group M6 announcement ‘take note’ accusations targeting their star host Stéphane Plaza
following an investigation published the same day by Médiapart
, in which three ex-partners of the fifty-year-old claim to have been victims of psychological and physical violence. Accusations that Stéphane Plaza strongly denied, and against which he had protected himself in June 2023, by attacking the three complainants for ”harassment” and ”cyber harassment”.
”Following information published in the press and after an interview with Stéphane Plaza, the M6 group, particularly attached to the values of respect for people and guarantor of its code of ethics and professional conduct, takes note of the formal challenge of Stéphane Plaza of the facts with which he is accused and the legal challenges he has initiated. has indicated M6 in his press release. The group renews its confidence in Stéphane Plaza
who remains presumed innocent, especially since no legal action appears to have been taken against him by the three accusers.

Stéphane Plaza takes Mediapart to court
On the sidelines of this speech by the private group chaired by Nicolas de Tavernost, the CAB Associés firm which represents Stéphane Plaza also reacted to the elements published by Mediapart :’‘Mr Stéphane Plaza has read the content of the article, which makes defamatory and insulting accusations against him. Mediapart acted as relay for three women who undermine the dignity of Mr. Stéphane Plaza, thus making themselves complicit in the public denigration against the latter, while they are the subject of a criminal complaint that he has filed for harassment and cyber-harassment. Given the seriousness of the accusations made against him, he mandated us to implement all legal avenues, both civil and criminal, against Mediapart and the three women concerned. All natural or legal persons who participate in the propagation of this defamatory and insulting information will also be prosecuted.”
