An investigation for “theft with violence” was opened Wednesday, October 21 by the Paris prosecutor’s office after the assault in the middle of the street of the deputy La République en Marche (LREM) of Hérault, Coralie Dubost, and her companion, Tuesday evening in the 7th arrondissement, franceinfo learned from the Paris prosecutor’s office, confirming information from BFMTV.
The MP and her companion were assaulted by a group of individuals as they left a restaurant. They were thrown to the ground by the thieves, who stole the couple’s money as well as the MP’s companion’s luxury watch. The precise amount of the loot is not yet determined, according to a source close to the investigation. The investigations were entrusted by the prosecution to the judicial police of Paris.
