(Toronto) Kori Cheverie, of the Montreal team, is nominated for the title of head coach of the year, the Professional Women’s Hockey League announced Wednesday.
Courtney Kessel (Boston) and Troy Ryan (Toronto) are also in the running.
Cheverie led Montreal to a 10-3-5-6 regular season record. The 10 wins in regulation time represent the second-best result in the six-team circuit.
Montreal was swept in three games by Boston in the semi-finals on Tuesday evening.
An 18-member committee voted for the nominations of six trophies at the end of the LPHF’s inaugural season. The winners will be announced in June.
