A shocking event. This Monday July 24, 2023 takes place the funeral of Jane Birkin at the Saint-Roch church, in the 1er district of Paris. A ceremony “reserved for family and friends. From Carole Bouquet to Charlotte Rampling via José Garcia, Maïwenn, Patrick Cohen, Catherine Deneuve, Eddy de Pretto, Emmanuelle Béart, Alain Souchon or even Matthieu Chedid, the entire show business came together to pay a last tribute to the artist who died at the age of 76, on July 16, at his home located at 50 rue d’Assas, in the 6e capital district.
During the funeral “broadcast live on a giant screen at the corner of rue Saint-Honoré and rue des Pyramides” as well as on the news channels, the singer’s fans were able to witness a particularly moving scene. Indeed, Charlotte Gainsbourg and her sister Lou Doillon, both carried the coffin in which their mother now rests.
