Loto-Québec paid a dividend of $1.5 billion to the Quebec Treasury

Loto-Québec reports having redistributed a dividend of $1.5 billion to the Quebec government at the end of its 2023-2024 fiscal year, down $89.1 million compared to last year.

The state-owned company also indicates that it awarded a total of $1.57 billion to winners during the last fiscal year.

According to the organization, which submitted its annual report on Thursday, these are “its best results in almost 20 years, apart from the exceptional year it experienced in 2022-2023”.

“We have made efforts both to boost our offering and to ensure responsible and efficient management. We have thus maintained our ratio of total expenses to revenues at the desired level,” declared President and CEO, Jean-François Bergeron, in a press release.

Loto-Québec claims to have recorded total revenues of $2.9 billion generated by the gaming offering. Revenues from the lottery sector totaled $958.8 million, those from casinos and gaming halls amounted to $1 $.1 billion, surpassing the record set last year.

Loto-Québec also mentions that its online gaming site continued to grow.

The state-owned commercial corporation’s net income was $1.51 billion for the year ended March 31.
