The Girondins continue their series. In Grenoble, they obtained a point (0-0), allowing them to remain undefeated after four matches in Ligue 2, Monday August 22. This draw was acquired when the Bordelais were reduced to ten in the 34th minute, after the expulsion of defender Junior Mwanga. Pape Meissa Ba also received a red for Grenoble, in the 76th.

In a lackluster match, the Girondins confirmed their new solidity. The worst defense in the last Ligue 1 (91 goals conceded) has still not been faulted this season on the lower level. This statistic is all the more satisfying as the Bordeaux rearguard is made up of three young players with no real professional reference.
Still in reconstruction a month after having curled an administrative demotion, Bordeaux still aligns a very rejuvenated team. Several players, like Yoann Barbet, Vital Nsimba and Jonas Lössl, train with the group but cannot play. The measures imposed by the DNCG prevent the club from approving their contracts. Without them, these Girondins with limited bench depth are third in Ligue 2. In an attacking breakdown with only one goal in four games, Grenoble is 13th.
