(Montreal) A 46-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in Montreal on Saturday night.

The police were called around 10:50 p.m. at the intersection of Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Jean-Talon Street, in the Little Italy district. They found a man there who had been shot in the upper body.
The 40-year-old was taken to hospital where he was in critical condition at the end of the evening, according to agent Gabriella Youakim, spokesperson for the Montreal Police Department.
By midnight there had been no arrests. A security perimeter has been set up so that the investigators can shed light on this event. The canine unit was also deployed.
