After several hours of questioning, the young 17-year-old jogger, supposedly kidnapped Monday, November 8, confessed to having lied.

The young girl recognized her lie during the interrogation at the gendarmerie station. In a statement, Céline Maigne, prosecutor of the Republic of Laval, announced that the girl had accidental injuries.
In Sablé-sur-Sarthe, the inhabitants are surprised by this revelation, a “hoax“that disappoints. The girl indicated that she was”sorry“to have mobilized the police on a large scale. During the search, nearly 200 officers, helicopters and many other search units were on the ground in order to find the trace of the young girl. Supposedly disappeared Monday evening, an investigation for kidnapping and forcible confinement was subsequently opened.The young girl is now with her relatives, while the gendarmes try to understand her gesture.
