Thirty years that Line Renaud has been fighting for Sidaction. But this 2022 edition will not be like the others for the president. Indeed, we will not see it this Saturday on France 2 in 40 years of songs by Celine Dion: the stars sing for Sidaction. The reason ? Unfortunately, she was affected by Covid-19. Quarantined the time to heal and get back on their feet, she could not attend the recording, which was held on March 16 at the Palais des Sports, in Paris.
A contamination that turned out not to be too serious, since the great friend of Brigitte Macron was vaccinated and she is fully recovered today. However, illness prevented her from playing her role, which greatly saddened Vincent Niclo, according to Gala, who was able to reach him before the broadcast. The singer had to co-host the evening with her. “Because of the Covid-19, we had to do without it“, he explained, specifying that it was Jean-Paul Gaultier who took the role in his place. But do not panic, without being on stage, Line Renaud will still make a few appearances … in video !”Throughout the show, he’s video called“, he revealed, aware that an evening without her would not have the same impact.
The star also had to call in sick during the filming ofWe are live, Laurent Ruquier’s program broadcast last Saturday, for the same reason. Once again, Jean-Paul Gaulthier had taken on the role alone, assuring that his partner was heartbroken at not being able to keep his commitments. As a reminder, it was she who co-founded the Sidaction association, in partnership with Pierre Bergé. The businessman, companion of Yves Saint-Laurent, unfortunately died in 2017.
This Saturday, many celebrities will come to sing and will raise funds. Joyce Jonathan, Anne Sila, Bilal Hassani or even Michael Gregorio and Michèle Torr delivered magnificent performances. Natasha St-Pier and Shy’m will also make an appearance, Jenifer and Isabelle Boulay will be there, as well as musicians Julie and Camille Berthollet.
This weekend will be important to donate to research, by calling 110 or by going to the sidaaction.org site.
