Limoges CSP unveiled the identity of its future sports director on Monday. After Crawford Palmer, place for Kevin Anstett, 30, and scout for several years in the NBA for the Philadelphia Sixers franchise. A scout is a person responsible for identifying and observing players to be recruited. Why take up the Limogeaud challenge? What level can he bring? What is the future of coach Massimo Cancellieri? Kevin Anstett, what motivated you to change careers from scout to sports director?
I think it’s the logical evolution of my job as a scout. I have been doing this job for 5 years. Over time, I created a lot of relationships with clubs in Europe and we discussed a lot about recruitment and I advised them from time to time on players. I wanted this new step in my career. This is what motivated me to change careers.

In essence, what does owner Céline Forte expect from you?
To change recruitment methods. I have my NBA experience. I watch a lot of games every day. And I also have all the Data Analytic part. I really think it can bring more to the club.
