Rappers Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow, Lil Baby and The Kid Laroi will headline the Metro Metro Festival, taking place on the Esplanade at Olympic Stadium, May 19-21.
For Lil Baby, who just recently performed on the show Saturday Night Live, it’s a comeback, because he was also on one of the two stages of the festival last year. It is not known, however, if he intends to reserve a new surprise for the Montreal public, he who had welcomed star rapper Drake on stage for a few songs. As for Lil Wayne, the stop in Montreal comes just days after the end of his tour in Los Angeles Welcome To Tha Carter Tourthe dates of which were announced on Tuesday.
Other guest artists include Americans Cordae, Coi Leray, Lil Tjay and Yeat, who will be joined by Canadian and Quebec artists Sarahmée, Nav, Killy, Murda Beatz and Mikezup, among others.
Metro Metro, which presented its first shows in 2019, is increasingly establishing itself as the largest urban music festival in Canada, with a musical offering devoted to hip-hop, rap, rhythm & blues and Latin music.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday at noon.
