yes we can sow carrots at the beginning of February, you just have to choose the right varieties.
The half-long red, the Carentan and the Nantaise are those that can be sown before the end of the cold. So in May or June, it will go very well on our plate with the peas sown in January.
However, remember:
- carrots like light, preferably sandy soils. You can therefore add sand in the fine furrow that you are going to draw to place the seeds there.
- that the winter veil is essential at this time of the year.
