This Thursday, April 21, 2022, the Queen of Spain Letizia appeared sublime and stylish, as usual, during a lunch organized in honor of the world of letters and culture at the royal palace in Madrid. The opportunity for the personalities gathered to award the 2021 Miguel de Cervantes literary prize. It was the first time that the Spaniards found their queen without a mask.
The trips follow one another for Letizia but, at the right time, the queen does not lack creativity in terms of style. After an appearance (as a family with Leonor and Sofia) at the reception and accommodation center for Ukrainian refugees last weekend, it was this time for a more glamorous date that the wife of Felipe VI was able to give free rein to his imagination. Within the royal palace, the queen displayed herself in a gray dress with puffed sleeves as chic as it is original since it is embellished with a knot around the neck and floral pieces embroidered on the right side (see slideshow) .
This creation is signed by the brand of the famous couturier who died in 2014 Pertegaz Manual. The story that links the queen to the Spanish designer is long. It dates back precisely to 2004, the year in which the latter made Letizia’s wedding dress, an event that will mark her official entry into the Spanish royal family. We had to wait until 2019 to see her don a piece by the same designer for the Princesses of Asturias awards… which was none other than the same gray dress! Indeed, the former journalist has a habit of reusing the pieces she has already worn. A dress obviously close to her heart since by wearing it three years ago, Letizia had broken an old tradition which wanted the queen to wear Carolina Herrera at the price of Asturias. Unlike 2019 where she had done in sobriety with black heels, the queen had, this year, opted for a pair of pink pumps and a handbag of the same color.
