Three games, three wins. The international break for the French women’s team went wonderfully, four and a half months before the start of Euro 2022 in England (July 6-31). Les Bleues punctuated their French Tournament with an authoritative victory over the Netherlands on Tuesday February 22 at the Océane stadium in Le Havre (3-1). A result which allows them at the same time to win the Tournoi de France once again after 2020.

It was once again Marie-Antoinette Katoto who distinguished herself with a double as against Brazil on Saturday (2-1). Author of a superb Madjer, the PSG striker has scored twelve goals in her last seven games in all competitions and seems to be in top form. Good news for the young attacker of only 23 years old who has established herself as the pillar of the French attack.

A good point also for the France team which only has the Euro in mind. There is only one rally left before the final list. Les Bleues will face Wales then Slovenia in April, two opponents much more modest than the selections present this week in Normandy. It was therefore the last real test before the continental competition. To afford the Netherlands, fifth world nation and Brazil, seventh, allows the French to accumulate confidence in the collective led by Corinne Deacon.
