The united left is ready for the legislative elections. But on the ground, the agreement concluded between rebellious France, the Communists, the ecologists and the Socialists is not easy to apply, and the dissidents intend to maintain their candidacy next June.
Sunday, May 8, Lionel Jospin appears alongside the socialist Lamia El Aaraje, who has not been invested by the New Popular, Ecological and Social Union (NUPES). However, it is she, the outgoing deputy of the 15ᵉ district of Paris. She claims to be the victim of an injustice. “Whatever is decided, I will be by her side until the end, in the district of which she is the outgoing deputy”announces Lionel Jospin, former Prime Minister.
Will she be a dissident candidate? She continues her campaign on the market and comes face to face with the invested candidate, the rebellious Danishe Simonnotand. And the exchanges are rather tense. The Socialists are already asking the rebellious that the agreement be reviewed, on this constituency of Paris. In Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), where the agreement is contested by regional elected officials, the new coalition seems to satisfy left-wing voters. In Occitania, dissident candidacies on the left could nevertheless multiply.
