At the top for months in the polls, Prime Minister François Legault asked his activists to support him in order to obtain a second term in 2022 to complete the changes he has undertaken.
He spoke at the end of a general council of his party in front of 850 activists, who celebrated during the weekend the tenth anniversary of the Coalition futur Quebec (CAQ).
In his closing speech, Mr. Legault took stock of his achievements and outlined the projects that remain to be accomplished.
“We still have a lot of changes to make,” he said. And I have the impression that we are going to need another mandate. It would be boring, it seems to me to break this momentum. “
He appealed to his activists gathered in the room of a hotel in Trois-Rivières.

Despite the voting intentions that put him at the top of the polls, Mr. Legault maintained that he is not taking anything for granted.
“It sure is good to see the polls,” he said. But we take absolutely nothing for granted. The confidence of Quebecers must be earned every day. “
Mr. Legault praised the competence of his team of deputies and ministers. Saturday, he had also maintained that his team does not lack relief.
“When I compare with the other parties, we have enough people to form two councils of ministers,” he declared.
Sunday in his speech Mr. Legault maintained that his party is better represented across Quebec than those of his opponents.
“There is another party that is mostly in the city centers. There is another which is mainly in the west of Montreal. Then there is another one that is only in a few areas. But the CAQ, we are present everywhere in Quebec. “
