Leave with butter and butter

The least we can say is that MP Éric Lefebvre does not lack nerve. Indeed, after resigning from his position as CAQ deputy, Éric Lefebvre chose to remain in the National Assembly as an independent. The member for Arthabaska and former chief government whip may claim that he will continue to be attentive to the grievances of his constituents, but he will have to be content with being a backbencher, with all the consequences that this situation provokes, in particular, a limited number of interventions in the Chamber.

However, and this is the brazen problem, he will be a candidate for the PCC in the next federal election and, as such, there is no doubt in my mind that he will be paid by the PCC of Pierre Poilievre, and this, in the context where he will also receive his salary as a deputy from the pockets of taxpayers. In clear terms, Mr. Lefebvre sees no qualms about going with “butterfly and butter.”
