With this gain, the Argonauts (7-4) qualified for the playoffs in the Eastern section of the Canadian Football League. The Argonauts (5-0) also remained undefeated at home.

Rookie Pellerin caught a pass from quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson after a one-yard run for a touchdown by Antonio Pipkin. The major followed a penalty for obstruction in the end zone against Marcus Sayles.

The Lions retaliated with a 32-yard touchdown pass from Michael Reilly to Jacob Scarfone. However, Reilly failed to complete a pass to Shaq Johnson in the end zone for the two-point conversion.

The Lions (4-7) suffered a fifth straight loss after Jimmy Camacho missed three field goal attempts in the fourth quarter.

The game called for an additional period when Camacho’s 37-yard kick missed the mark on the final play of the fourth quarter, forcing the Lions (4-7) to settle for a single.

Camacho also missed a 49-yard attempt with 53 seconds and another 37-yard attempt, which led to another single, reducing the Argonauts’ lead to 23-22.

With Bethel-Thompson at quarterback, the Argonauts are 5-2. Bethel-Thompson ended her workday with a 23-for-37 record for gains of just 155 yards. He completed a touchdown pass and was the victim of a tip.

For his part, Reilly completed 20 of his 38 passes, including three for adults. He also saw one of his passes being intercepted.
