Police arrested the alleged shooter, a 28-year-old man known to authorities, as he left a bar around 2:15 a.m.

The suspect had just been expelled from the bar Le Skratch, located on boulevard Curé-Labelle. He was accompanied by two other people. According to our information, a conflict would have broken out inside the establishment.

The intoxicated man reportedly fired several projectiles into the air after being dragged out of the area. The shots did not cause any injuries.

“When he left in the car, detonations were heard from the vehicle. There was a police presence nearby,” said Constable Érika Landry, spokesperson for the police force.

Quickly, officers from the Service de police de Laval (SPL) arrested the suspect. He is a 28-year-old Montrealer, known to the police. The two other men accompanying him were released after questioning.
