After leaving France Télévisions who would have “considered unclean”, Laurent Ruquier
is embarking on a new adventure with its own 8 p.m. broadcast on BFM TV. For this new project, the host is accompanied by Julie Hammett, the co-presenter whose career impacted her love life for many years.
This Monday, September 25, 2023, the pair therefore hosted the first edition of the 20H de Ruquier. During this broadcast, Laurent Ruquier
and Julie Hammett will offer debates with several guests and commentators on current events. “We will come back to the two or three biggest topics of the day. But I will also try to find information that has not been covered”teased the one who spoke out on the Stéphane Plaza affair.
A blunder which amused Laurent Ruquier

Laurent Ruquier’s first minutes on BFM TV did not go unnoticed. First of all, the companion of Hugo Manos
appeared in a suit and tie, far from his usual outfits. While he was writing his column via press cartoons, a fairly loud noise interrupted him. “That’s a desk that has just fallen, I think” he said to Julie Hammett.
To which his partner replied: “Yes, it’s a small pedal, but it doesn’t matter.” A remark which did not fail to make Laurent Ruquier bounce back, who added a layer: “How’s that little pedal?” From there, a burst of laughter erupts from his partner who then catches up: “Sorry the pedal for the teleprompter.” “Not at all, it’s a walkie-talkie” then corrects his colleague.
Still facing an amused accomplice, Laurent Ruquier had difficulty regaining his calm and concluded by blurting:“I have a feeling it’s going to be difficult with you, Julie laughs easily, I was warned.” A good atmosphere which promises for the future!
