Quebecer Laurent Dubreuil finished second in the 500m event at the Stavanger World Cup on Sunday in Norway.
This is the 29-year-old’s fourth appearance on the podium in as many races over this distance this season. The day before, Dubreuil had got his hands on the gold medal in the same place.
In today’s race, the Quebec native completed the distance in 34.61 seconds, which is four hundredths of a second less than the winner, the Japanese Tatsuya Shinhama.
In the general classification of the 500 m, Dubreuil is still the leader. He now has 216 points, two more than the Japanese who defeated him on Sunday.
