Ukraine puts its title on the line in the 67th edition of the contest Eurovision. 26 countries will compete for victory at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool (UK). 46 years after the last tricolor victory in the European song contest, in 1977 with Marie Myriam and her title The bird and the child, France hopes to triumph this year with La Zarra. The Canadian singer, successor to the Breton group Alvan & Ahez who arrived at the 24th last year, will sing her hit Obviously at 9:39 p.m. sharp on France 2.
“I like arriving in the submarine, that’s how I arrived in music. I like the idea that people don’t pay attention to me, that they think I’m not dangerous . I would like to be at least in the top 3… top 1 (she laughs). Out of the top 3, I would be disappointed”told our colleagues to Pure Media, the young woman who had been forced in mid-April to cancel for “personal reasons” two performances she was to give in Amsterdam and London. “It’s the home stretch and I’m more determined than ever to wear the colors of France with pride and love”she exclaimed on social networks.

While she occupied third place in the bookmakers’ ranking last week, La Zarra was ejected from the top 5. A few hours before the broadcast of the show, the candidate from France now occupies sixth place in the latest bookmakers’ ranking. With a 2% chance of winning, it is overtaken by Israel (4%), Spain (5%), Ukraine (6%), Finland (22%), and Sweden (53%) .
