It’s no secret: Céline Dion and Lara Fabian are among the most beautiful French-speaking voiceslike Maurane, who left us in May 2018. Guest ofWe’re doing TV again this Saturday, Lara Fabian, in full promotion of her new title Your pain, first single from a new album which will be released in a few months, was asked to react to the possible dissensions which would have pitted her against Celine Dion since the start of their respective careers. And if the two women never really met, and never really discussed these potential conflicts, Lara Fabian does not deny that their respective entourages did everything to cause possible rivalries to break out. But if these did indeed exist between their respective managers and staffthe two singers have always respected each other.
“(This rivalry) does not exist between us, and it does not exist either in the hearts of our audiences, who can easily go from one of my songs to one of his songs, and who dream of a duo, by the way” explained the Quebec singer, before however placing the responsibility on their respective teams: “But it’s true that it has often been the work of (those) around us, to create this strange competition. After all, that’s the name of the game too. Twenty or thirty years ago (…) there had to be one, and in the teams, there was a fight so that it was sometimes one, sometimes the other, so it existed, but not between us“.
Their staffs were at war with each other, they talked to each other in secret
The two stars were so at the top that their staffs did everything to make them become rivals. So much so that it was impossible for them to meet. Lara Fabian reveals she never met Celine Dion
only once, and their discussion had to be hidden and very briefso that those around them do not realize it: “We never had the opportunity to talk to each other because it was rarely possible to meet on the same set. On the other hand, one day we managed to meet each other by secretly pulling a curtainI remember this moment when she looks at me, and laughing, she says: Even when you speak, it sounds good (…) I remember this moment when I saw Toronto (… ) a very simple girl” she explained.
Lara Fabian thus confirmed that those around her did everything to ensure that the programming on TV sets are constructed in such a way that they are not invited at the same time ; therefore impossible to have the two stars invited to the set of the
star Academy
for example, or that of the NRJ Music Awards. “Yes, I think so. I don’t have the precise information, but it’s funny to realize that every time I was asked to do a set, it was either me or Céline” reaffirmed the singer, who thus confirmed that if the two stars have never been in conflict, however, a rivalry did indeed exist between their staffs, who were at war with each other… without them contributing to it.
