(Montreal) Research is underway at Lac Rond in Saint-Calixte, in Lanaudière, to find a missing man.

The emergency services were notified of the situation on Sunday night, around 12:30 a.m. The firefighters carried out searches during the night, but in vain, but they had reinforcements in the light of day.
“According to initial information, a 42-year-old man ventured onto Lac Rond aboard a small boat without a life jacket. The boat was found overturned a short time later. Subsequently, research was started to find the man who has been missing since, ”said agent Nicolas Scholtus, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Divers from the Sûreté du Québec were to join the search during the day. Investigators and “patrolmen in intervention module” were also called to the scene, said Mr. Scholtus.
