“Despite our efforts, we were unable to recruit swimming and diving instructors for this summer. There will therefore be no swimming and diving lessons in the summer of 2022,” the sports center announced on Facebook. However, a summer session of lifesaving courses will be offered.

The Olympic Park invites swimmers to view free swimming capsules online from beginner to advanced levels, in order to “continue [à] improve”. The Sports Center also reminds that swimming in their pools will always be possible.

Tuesday, The Press reported that bathing establishments fear having to limit their opening hours to withdraw supervised bathing, due to a shortage of lifeguards.
