Kings crush Wild 7-3

(St. Paul) Pierre-Luc Dubois scored two goals in 12 seconds in the first period, Cam Talbot blocked 29 shots, and the Los Angeles Kings beat the Minnesota Wild 7-3 on Thursday night.

Dubois hit the back of the net in a second straight game. The Quebecer has scored three goals in four games so far this season. These two goals in 12 seconds represent the third-fastest two-goal streak in Wild history.

Ralph Backstrom scored two in six seconds in 1972, while Jari Kurri scored two in 10 seconds in 1991.

Carl Grundstrom and Vladislav Gavrikov each scored their second goal of the campaign for the Kings. Trevor Moore scored his fourth of the season in the third period, scoring in a third straight game. Adrian Kempe and Blake Lizotte added empty-net goals.

Connor Dewar and Kirill Kaprizov scored in a second straight game for the Wild. Joel Eriksson Ek added to the score with his fourth of the season.

Following his victory against the Canadian in Montreal, Marc-André Fleury got a second start in a row. The goalie stopped 20 pucks.

Talbot, who was with the Wild the last two seasons, was playing his first game against his former team since being traded to the Ottawa Senators for goaltender Filip Gustavsson.
