Police are still trying to locate Myles Sanderson, 32, wanted on Wednesday for first-degree murder, attempted murder and breaking and entering.

RCMP unsuccessfully surrounded a home in James Smith’s Cree community on Tuesday afternoon after getting a tip that Myles Sanderson might be there; this operation did not yield any results.

His brother Damien Sanderson, who had also been considered a suspect in Sunday’s murders, was found dead Monday in a grassy area not far from one of the 13 crime scenes. RCMP do not believe he committed suicide and are investigating whether Myles Sanderson was involved in his brother’s death.

As the search for Myles Sanderson enters its fourth day on Wednesday, the RCMP is asking the public to remain vigilant.

“As the whereabouts of Myles Sanderson remain unknown, the emergency alert is active for the entire province and we continue to urge the public to take the appropriate precautions”, recalled the RCMP at the end of the afternoon. tuesday.
