The Royal Canadian Mounted Police released on Wednesday the names and photographs of the ten murdered people, who are between 23 and 78 years old.

The casualty toll is also very heavy. A total of 18 people were injured in these knife attacks, including one or a teenage girl. Of the number, 10 are still in hospital, three of whom are in critical condition.

Myles Sanderson, wanted for first degree murder, attempted murder and breaking and entering, was arrested by RCMP on Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. (local time) near Rosthern, Saskatchewan. Her brother, Damien Sanderson, was found dead Monday near one of 13 crime scenes. RCMP do not believe he committed suicide and an investigation is underway to determine if Myles Sanderson killed his brother.

In a statement released earlier this week, Bobby Cameron, Chief of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations of Saskatchewan asked Saskatchewan residents to report any relevant information to police.

“Uncertainty continues to cause immeasurable stress and panic among our families, friends and neighbors. They have already suffered enough. We must do everything in our power to help end this tragedy without further loss of life. »
