The former Star Academy teachers having made their big return to the program for a few days, viewers were able to see Armande Altaï, Oscar Cisto and Kamel Ouali again. If the first are discreet, Kamel Ouali is always at the front of the stage thanks to the shows for which he signs the choreography. The professional dancer is in fact at the origin of the shows organized at Paradis Latin, a cabaret in which Iris Mittenaere notably performed.
Quite discreet about his private life, Kamel Ouali reveals more and more over the years. In August 2021, he spoke about the birth of his son on the set of the show Télématin broadcast on France 2. “It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve done in my life. His name is Rock. He’s 5 months old. It’s life-changing, but it’s extraordinary, it’s just love. actually, it’s quite crazy because the day he was born, I said to myself: ‘But how could I live without him?’ That’s really it, that’s what I felt.” he declared.
The famous choreographer was then questioned about his son’s original first name.
“Rock obviously like dancing?” asked Damien Thévenot. And Kamel Ouali clarifies: “Heh no, not at all, as solid as a rock. I put a k at the end because I didn’t want that, there it is, it’s not Saint-Roch either, but no, it’s: solid as a rock.”

Two years after talking about his son, Kamel Ouali today presents his daughter. On Instagram, the 52-year-old dancer published a photo in which he appears happier than ever with a baby in his arms. “For this new Year, I present to you my daughter France who fills me with happiness with her brother Rock.” he wrote in the caption.
There is no doubt that France will become like her big brother, her famous dad’s first fan. In April 2023, Kamel Ouali explained that Rock, his 3-year-old son, follows him everywhere, even at work. “Since he was born, I have taken Rock with me everywhere. While I supervise rehearsals, the dancers pamper him. He became the darling of the group.” he revealed.
