Kamala Harris Slightly Ahead of Donald Trump in Poll

The Democratic vice president is slightly ahead of her rival in a Reuters/Ipsos poll published Tuesday, July 23 in the United States. Kamala Harris distances herself Donald Trump by two points, at 44% of voting intentions against 42%. Last week, the two candidates were tied in another poll by the same institute. But the race remains tight: Another PBS News/NPR/Marist poll, conducted July 22, has Harris trailing Trump by 1 point, at 45 percent to 46 percent.

The vice president held her first campaign rally in Wisconsin. “Do we want to live in a country of freedom, compassion and the rule of law, or in a country of chaos, fear and hatred?”she shouted, accusing Donald Trump of being in the pay of billionaires and of seeking to weaken the middle class. The former prosecutor also insisted on the myriad legal cases surrounding her rival. She is expected on Wednesday in Indianapolis, in the center of the country, for a new campaign rally.
