The former Parisian striker, Kadidiatou Diani, filed a complaint for sexual assault against her former coach at Paris Saint-Germain, Didier Ollé-Nicolle, franceinfo: sport learned on Wednesday September 27, confirming information from Le Parisien [article payant]. The complaint, filed in June, concerns acts of sexual assault dating from 2021.

“We strongly condemn the facts recently reported through the media suffered by Ms. Diani. We express our unconditional solidarity with the victim and support her courage for breaking the silence and denouncing these unacceptable facts”writes a press release from the player’s advisor shared on X (ex-Twitter) Wednesday evening.

A preliminary investigation was opened for sexual assault, after the player’s complaint was filed, the Versailles prosecutor’s office told AFP on Wednesday. The public prosecutor clarified that it was seeking to “to make one hear [Mme Diani] for her to come and explain what she denounced in this complaint”. He also confirmed that his complaint targeted two gestures attributed to the ex-coach, who allegedly touched Diani’s buttocks when leaving the locker room the first time, then when she was boarding a bus with other PSG players.

In May 2022, PSG opened an internal investigation after a report of harassment and sexual assault targeting Didier Ollé-Nicolle. A judicial investigation against X had also been opened for “sexual assault by a person in authority”. The technician had been suspended for behavior “inappropriate”before being replaced by Gérard Prêcheur in August.

Top scorer for the French team at the World Cup this summer, Kadidiatou Diani left the capital after six seasons spent in the Parisian jersey, to join Olympique Lyonnais.
